Goldendoodles
There are many new breeds of dogs that have recently become popular for families across the United States. Since the mid-1990s, the Goldendoodle dog breed has become increasingly popular in North American and Australia. This Golden Retriever and Poodle mix is also referred to as Goldie Poos or Groodles and were originally bred with smaller poodles to give families a fairly allergy-free pet. This breed doesn’t shed as much as regular Golden Retrievers, and while they are not 100 percent hypoallergenic, they are a better choice for those who want a dog but are allergic to hair.
Goldendoodles have also been used as guide or assistance dogs. Like any dog, Goldendoodles need quality veterinarian care. Make sure to speak with a professional veterinarian if you have any concerns about your dog or other pet.
Goldendoodle Appearance and Other Facts
Like many breeds of dogs, Goldendoodles vary in size, shape, and fur color. While there are small Goldendoodles that can weigh between 15 and 30 pounds, the majority of Goldendoodles weigh around 100 pounds.
Just like their name suggests, Goldendoodles resemble something between a Retriever and a Poodle. The coat of a Goldendoodle can be wool, fleece, or a combination of both and there color can be anything from gold to white or even red.
