Lemon Toner will take advantage of Vitamin C from lemons, the use of VitC is well known so I do not talk long again. So why do not I buy a drug store to buy VitC powder for fast mixing? VitC (powder or any form of processed) of course is still great for the skin, but when mixed with other things, it is easy to degenerate overnight, literally. Therefore, cosmetic brands must use preservatives to keep the ingredients in good condition without being damaged. With fresh lemon, a natural source of VitC, you get all the benefits – pores and skin lightening – without any preservatives. Fresh lemon works much better and, obviously, very cheap.
Use this Lemon Toner 1-2 times a day to cleanse sebum, dirt, gently exfoliate dead skin to clog pores, balance uneven skin tone, and, of course, do skin lightening and dark spots.
1. Ingredients:
Some lemons (as the name suggests, you should use lemon. Lemon – lemon (lime) – will be better and have more vitamins than the green lemon we normally use (Lime). lemon, you can use lime instead still okay)
Pure water (preferably mineral water to ensure hygiene, there are also more minerals)
Witch hazel (Witch hazel, you can buy it at drug stores, supermarkets or handmade shops)
1 cup (or bowl) to measure, the better the milliliter cup.
Plastic bottles (jars) with lids or misting nozzles.
2. Benefits:
– Witch Hazel: astringent, removes excess oil in pores, reduces redness, limits acne without drying skin, soothes sunburned skin, stimulates blood circulation to make ruddy skin. In fact, Witch Hazel alone (not mixed with anything) can make toners already. In the later sharing I also use witch hazel as a base for toner. We add other ingredients to increase the desired effect only.
Lemon juice: a natural source of Vitamin C, used to brighten skin, tighten pores and gently exfoliate skin.
3. How to do:
This would be one of the easiest handmade things you’ve ever made. Just squeeze the juice of the lemon (remember to remove the seeds and cloves with a sieve or a thin cloth). Combine lemon juice with Witch Hazel and pure water. The ratio of Pure Water: Lemon Juice: Witch Hazel that I use is 1: 0.5: 0.67 (ie 1 cup of water: half a cup of lemon: 2/3 cup witch hazel), my skin is combination skin. But you can freely reduce any ingredients depending on the adaptation on your skin. You should use less witch hazel if your skin is dry and increase if you are oily. The amount of lemon and water can be added or removed as you like.
Keep the toner in a clean plastic bottle, with a stopper or a mist sprayer. You can use this toner twice a day, if it is a spray bottle, just spray it on your face like a mineral spray, and if it’s a regular cork, pour out makeup remover and wipe all over your face. Also, if you use it during the day you must use sunscreen because the alpha hydroxy acid in lemon will make your skin very sensitive to the sun, because of this reason I do NOT recommend using Lemon Toner for sensitive skin. thanks.
The toner should be stored in a cool dry place or preferably in the refrigerator if the weather is hot and humid. You also do not want to do much, but should do just enough to use within 1 week, next week to do a new batch to avoid damage, is also easy and does not take much time is not it.
