Cleaning the skin is the first step to having a healthy skin. But it’s not easy to have so many product lines on the market that you have to decide on the right one for your skin. Cosmetic brands have cleaning products, including makeup remover and facial cleanser for skin types. However, do you really understand the differences between these product lines, and what are their true uses and uses?
Cleansing Product is the common name for cleaning products. Depending on the type of skin, cleaning products often contain a lot of oil or a lot of water. More oily products are suitable for dry skin and vice versa, cleansing products that contain more water are suitable for oily people (that is, in theory, not wrong but not entirely true). If classified according to the degree of reduction of the oil in the product, we will have an oily skin cleansing product> cream> milk> gel> foam> water … or there are some special forms such as powder or soap. However in this article, Hannah will only mention the 6 most basic types.
1 Cleansing Oil
It is the most concentrated cleansing solution, commonly known as Cleansing Oil. This type will not have foam when used, or used to remove makeup because the oil in cleansing oil will dissolve the oil in make-up products and wash them away cleanly. Even if you don’t apply make-up, using cleansing oils helps dissolve water-insoluble dirt on your face.
To really clean the residual oil completely, you should wash it again with a foaming cleanser because the foam will wash away the residual oil on the skin (double cleansing).
2. Cream Wash / Cream Cleanser / Cleansing Cream
The cream has begun to mix oil with water. Therefore, the level of oil in the product has decreased. This product is also known under the name of Makeup Remover. It feels like applying cream to your face. You will not feel dry skin on your face after washing. Makeup remover also helps to remove makeup and remove water-soluble dirt thanks to the oil in the product.
Cleansing Cream is recommended for those with dry skin, but I personally feel it can be used by any skin condition with the addition of a foaming cleanser afterwards. removing the oil completely, yep, is the double cleansing thing I just said above hehe.
3. Cleansing Milk / Milk Cleanser
This is the most balanced product in terms of oil and water ratio, commonly known by both names: Cleansing Milk or Cleansing Milk, produced with emulsification technology. Cleansing Milk can be used to remove makeup as well as insoluble dirt in water, with or without foam. This is the right choice for all skin types, from dry, oily or combination skin.
How to use: Pour some cleansing milk onto a cotton pad, wipe over face, wipe or rinse with warm water. If your skin is dry, then you can just wash it with water, but if you have oily skin, you can choose to clean it twice with a foaming cleanser later if you want.
4. Cleansing Gel / Jelly Foam Cleansing Gel
Gel cleanser is the choice for those with dehydrated skin, sensitive skin or those who like to feel refreshed. As the percentage of water in the product has increased gradually, you will feel light and comfortable to use. Gel cleansers can be foaming or not (most are foaming, but less than foam).
However, if you wear make-up or want to remove water-soluble sebum, your face wash gel will not be clean enough. Before that, you still needed an oil-based cleansing cream (oil / cream / milk) to dissolve makeup and cleanse your skin perfectly.
5. Cleansing Foam
This is the most common cleaning line and is the most used of the facial cleansing products in Vietnam market, which can be in the form of milk, soap, or in the form of foam. . This helps you to deep clean your pores thanks to the tiny foam created deep into the pores.
One thing to keep in mind is that any foaming product is more or less alkaline (basic). So after using you need to use rose water (toner) to balance the pH of the skin (pH too high makes skin vulnerable to many problems and makes other skin care products do not work well. ). Choose rose water products that clearly state on the skin’s ability to balance pH. Using a pH-balanced solution after using a foaming cleanser is an essential step for healthy skin as well as to limit the effects of alkaline products on the skin.
